Types of Gourds

We will gladly ship your gourd order!  Gourds are shipped through the United States Postal Service or UPS.  We compare shipping and will ship using the least expensive method.

All gourds are sold as natural, uncleaned gourds.

Martin Gourds
These gourds are excellent for making into Purple Martin houses.  Bottoms are mostly flat but are sometimes round.  Great for crafts!  These are available both uncut and cut for Purple Martin houses.

Bottle Gourds
These gourds have a mostly flat bottom but are sometimes rounded.  They are excellent for craft.  They can be used to make snowmen, Santas, angels, musical instruments, birdhouses, bowls, and so much more!

Swan/Goose Gourds
These gourds have a large round base with a thick curved neck.  The bulbous tip gives this gourd a swanlike effect.  They are great for painting, wood burning, and various other crafts.

Dipper Gourds
These gourds are mostly flat on the bottom but can also be rounded.  They are great for crafts, rattles, and small birdhouses.  The handles on these gourds can be curly, straight, or uniquely shaped.

Extra Long Handled Dipper Gourds
These unique gourds are have long curved handles that can grow up to 2-3 feet long with a bulbous end.  These are great for painting, wood burning, and other crafts.

Apple Gourds
These gourds are shaped like a giant, delicious apple.  Great to use in a centerpiece, in Fall decorations, crafting projects, or simply painted red.

Warty Gourds
These gourds are great for making frogs, bowls, birdhouses or other crafts.  Some have more warts than others.

Penguin Gourds
These gourds resemble a penguin.  With a curved neck, these gourds can be used in a variety of crafts, centerpieces, or arrangements.

Canteen Gourds
These gourds are mostly flat on the bottom.  They are good for making canteens, jewelry boxes, bowls, and for other crafts.

Bushel Gourds
These gourds are usually larger than other gourds.  Bottoms are mostly flat but can sometimes be rounded.  Baskets, drums, and bowls could easily be made out of them.  They would also be good to use for painting, wood burning, carving, or for other crafts or decorations.

Snake Gourds
These gourds range in size from small to large and can grow up to 3 feet long and up to 8 inches around.  They can be slender, elongated, straight or curved.  Snake gourds can be made into a didgeridoo or used for many other crafts.

Dinosaur (Maranka) Gourds
These gourds are known for their protruding veins.  They are great to use as rattles, birdhouses, dippers, planters, or a variety of other crafts.

Club Gourds
These gourds are shaped like a caveman's club with a handle and large, bulbous end.  They are great to use for a variety of crafts.

These gourds have a fibrous flesh that can be used for a natural bath sponge that cleans and exfoliates skin.

We have several varieties of ornamental gourds available.  These gourds are small in size and great for a variety of crafts and for making ornaments.

These gourds are great for Easter and Christmas ornaments.  These can also be used as poultry decoy eggs.

Spoon Gourds
These are fairly small gourds with narrow, curved necks that are about 2 to 3 inches long.  These gourds are great for crafts.

Daisy Gourds
These are a small, attractive and unique gourd with different shades of green, orange, yellow, and white, but the colors will fade as the gourds harden.  Most will produce a unique daisy pattern on the stem end of the gourd.  When their colors are vibrant, these gourds make great fall decorations.  After they are dry, use them for different crafts or decorating.
